Wild MU responds to this need by creating and curating thoughtfully designed living spaces, including outdoor spaces, buildings, structures, bespoke interiors & furniture.
PLACES OF MEANING
The demands of modern life are complex and, whilst our main homes work hard to meet our essential daily needs, it is the ancillary buildings and outdoor living rooms which have the most potential to dramatically impact the quality of our lives and bring precious periods of escape & balance.
These additional spaces are functionally very different to our homes: inviting us to acknowledge and meet our deeper needs and become places to spend focussed quality time. It is no exaggeration to say that for many of our clients these spaces have proved life changing.
These ‘places of meaning’ provide an opportunity, almost a requirement, to be freer with design - to accentuate the sense of journey (however brief) away from the daily grind and into a more personal, intimate world.
In this spirit, we prioritise emotional and sensory response in our approach to materials, structure and careful detailing.
Combining our love of structure and materials with a deep understanding of the emotional impact of place, we design functional engaging spaces which are full of character and conducive to relaxation and well being.
ELEMENTAL LIVING
Nature is our source and inspiration.
Our design ethos is one of honesty & simplicity and by celebrating the elegance of raw natural materials we prepare the way for a pared back experience we see as a beneficial counterpoint to the stresses of daily life.
We maintain an emphasis on the outdoor environment, utilising large openings and including covered outdoor primary living spaces where possible.
We have designed and built a wide range of studios, cabins, retreats and outdoor living rooms. These structures can be both multi-functional and endlessly adaptable - able to accommodate many aspects of our busy lives and to grow and change with us over time.

We work with landscape architects and garden designers, helping incorporate structures, shelters & seating areas to create natural outdoor living spaces for year round use.
