Low impact | All-terrain

High performance, eco-conscious cabins & studios

WILD MU Cabins are beautiful high-quality eco-friendly buildings which are suitable for year round use and can adapt to a multitude of uses. They are sustainably designed and fabricated predominantly from timber and high-mass natural insulation creating a healthy comfortable interior environment. These are robust and long lasting structures which have insulation levels far in excess of typical huts & garden rooms.

Adaptable timber frame structure

Our cabins are designed around a timber frame structure which enables the building to be ‘all-terrain’ - meaning that, where required, WILD MU cabins can be elevated on stilts and situated in tricky positions or on sloping ground. We use minimal pad or screwpile foundations to maintain the natural landscape.

Prefabricated & customisable

Our cabin & studios are built off-site in our workshop in kit form and can be installed in virtually any location. This method means short installation times and minimal site disruption while ensuring all the efficiency and quality control of workshop fabrication. Our design & build system means the technical design thinking has already been done: we incorporate thoughtful detailing while leaving plenty of flexibility and potential to configure every space to our clients requirements.

Choice of specification

3 levels of cabin build specification are available: WILD MU cabins are able to meet Building Regs or BS3632 as required and offer U-Values down to 0.13 W/m2K using breathing wall system

Cabin interiors

We offer our cabins & studios as either empty space or fully fitted-out, with options on internal and external finishes. Kitchenettes & bathrooms are carefully thought out and designed and can be fitted where required or pipe & cable runs installed for future proofing, enabling simple change of use. Built-in furniture & storage are not an afterthought but form an intrinsic part of the character of the space.

MU cabins are configurable, highly adaptable buildings able to evolve with you over time to meet lifes ever changing needs.

Prefabricated in our workshop, with quick installation times and minimal site disruption.

They can be built within Permitted Development in many cases & can conform to the caravan act. We offer feasibility visits and a Planning Application service where required.
